In November 2013 I launched my third collection, 'Afro Chic By Sane'. The entire collection is inspired by the African continent and the diverse cultures and people. The collection has been very well received and this is why I am still manufacturing new designs to add to the collection.
I first learnt to sew when I was 15 years old. the first garment I made was a blue denim skirt. It took me a few weeks to make, but it looked 'wearable' at the end. By my 16th birthday I was ready to make my sweet sixteen dress and then progressed to making my very own matric dance dress.
I've enjoyed being a designer - launching my label meant taking control of my talent and showing off the best of what I can do. My second collection, 'Black Number By Sane' is still spoken about by my clients.
I've created this blog because I want people to know about my clothing lines, but also, I have a colleague who always asks me, "Is that by Sane?". I always smile. sometimes the answer is yes and at times it's no. This blog will feature all things by Sane and leave absolutely nothing out. Please enjoy this experience with me.
